Charity Fund-Raising Events
Three charity events have so far been organised:
- 10th March - an evening with Tom Urie
- 28th April - 70's night
- 17th June - Glasgow Orchestral Society Concert

28th April - 70's Night
On the 28th April the second of our Riverman Appeal concerts was held in the West Brewery with Tom Urie doing his DJ with 70’s music.
A good turn out again enjoyed the music and the dancing. It was especially nice to see some of our Directors and there wives turning the clock back and Twisting and Jiving with the best of them. As usual Lifeguard Mark McKay was on hand with his trusty camera to capture for posterity some amazing action.
Thanks again to Tom Urie and everyone who combined to make this night a success.
10th March - an evening with Tom Urie
The Tom Urie night at West Brewery was reasonable attended
and everyone seemed to enjoy the good entertainment and the products of
West.

the night a success.
Details of how much was raised to swell the coffers of the Riverman Appeal have yet to be finalised.
Appeal Launch
The riverman appeal launch in George Square took place on the 16th August 2011, on the Glasgow Humane Society 221st Anniversary.
