Letters – Call in trained volunteers
In the light of the floodings in Glasgow and surrounding areas in last weeks thunderstorms, I feel Strathclyde Fire and Rescue Service’s comments about struggling to cope highlights a very shameful situation in this day and age.
There are plenty of organisations trained to help and assist in times of need. For example, the Glasgow Humane Society’s Officers and volunteers are expertly trained and skilled to deal with these situations.
Can’t it be organised so that available assistance can be called upon in such circumstances.
